MEET YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Jeff Lingenbrink, DDS, MSD
For Dr. Jeff Lingenbrink, practicing orthodontics in Kitsap County means caring for the community that helped shape him. Born in Hawaii and raised in Silverdale, Dr. Lingenbrink knows firsthand how special this community is and is passionate about giving back to the place and people who gave so much to him growing up. Having practiced orthodontics since 2006, he joined Johnsonlink Orthodontics in 2015 when the practices merged and has been caring for local families here ever since.
Dr. Lingenbrink believes great orthodontic care starts with doing what is best for the individual patient. His philosophy is simple: treat the right patient at the right time to achieve the best possible results. Not every patient needs the same treatment, or needs to begin treatment at the same age. By carefully considering each patient's growth, needs, goals, and lifestyle, he develops a treatment plan that makes sense for the person behind the smile. Whether treatment involves traditional braces or Invisalign, Dr. Lingenbrink enjoys both and believes the best option is the one that will provide the right result for that particular patient. He is passionate about making orthodontic treatment comfortable, efficient, and positive while ensuring patients and families understand their options and feel confident in their care every step of the way.
Dr. Lingenbrink earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University before attending the University of Washington School of Dentistry, where he graduated at the top of his class and received multiple honors, including the Dean's Award. He continued his training at Saint Louis University, completing his orthodontic residency and earning both a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry.
He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, Washington State Dental Association, and Kitsap County Dental Society. Through continuing education and collaboration with other dental professionals, Dr. Lingenbrink continues to bring thoughtful, modern orthodontic care to children, teens, and adults throughout Kitsap County.
One of the most rewarding parts of orthodontics for Dr. Lingenbrink is the relationships he builds along the way. He loves getting to know his patients and their families, watching their confidence grow throughout treatment, and being part of the moment when they finally get to see the smile they've worked toward.
Outside the office, Dr. Lingenbrink enjoys playing piano and guitar, watching his girls play volleyball, and spending time with his family. His newest passion is growing and caring for dahlias, and he loves the patience and care that go into watching them grow and bloom. He and his wife, Britney, live in Seabeck with their four daughters, Madison, Camryn, Jordan, and Sydney.

Dr. Jerrold Johnson, DDS, MS
Dr. Jerrold Johnson has been creating smiles in Kitsap County since 2004, treating children, teens, and adults at Johnsonlink Orthodontics in Silverdale, Poulsbo, and Port Orchard. Over more than two decades in practice, he has treated thousands of patients, from young children who may benefit from early guidance of their developing teeth and jaws to adults pursuing orthodontic treatment later in life.
Dr. Johnson believes exceptional orthodontic care begins with understanding the individual patient. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, he considers each person's dental needs, lifestyle, concerns, and goals before recommending treatment. Sometimes early treatment is the right choice; sometimes waiting is better. Some adults want comprehensive correction, while others simply want to address something that has bothered them for years. His goal is to recommend the treatment that makes the most sense for the person sitting in front of him.
With extensive experience in both braces and Invisalign, Dr. Johnson has treated patients with Invisalign since the beginning of his orthodontic career in 2004. Dr. Johnson has also developed clinical protocols for complex Invisalign tooth movements and the final detailing and settling of Invisalign cases. He believes the treatment method should be chosen based on what will work best for each patient, not the other way around. His experience extends to complex orthodontic care, including challenging bite problems, missing teeth, jaw surgery cases, and treatment involving temporary anchorage devices (TADs). He especially enjoys finding thoughtful solutions for complicated cases and helping patients with special needs or dental anxiety feel comfortable and successful throughout treatment.
Technology and innovation have been part of Dr. Johnson's approach since the beginning of his career. Dr. Johnson is a longtime software developer and has created custom tools to solve clinical and practice challenges, from software developed during his orthodontic residency for research into dental root resorption to tools used within the practice today.
Dr. Johnson earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where he received multiple academic and clinical awards. He continued at USC for his orthodontic residency, earning a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Craniofacial Biology. His graduate research focused on dental root resorption and genetic influences on jaw development, and he received USC's coveted “Golden Hands” award for excellence in dental anatomy and wax carving.
Beyond the office, Dr. Johnson is passionate about giving back to the community he has called home for more than 20 years. He enjoys opportunities to provide orthodontic care to those who might not otherwise have access through Johnsonlink Orthodontics' Save-A-Smile program, supports schools and organizations throughout Kitsap County, and has volunteered for approximately a decade as a guest instructor for local high school Sports Medicine students.
Originally from Southern California, Dr. Johnson lives in Bremerton with his wife, Julie, whom he met in college. They have five children: Allison, Brittany, Caitlin, Dillon, and Zachary. When he's not creating smiles, you'll often find him playing piano or guitar, taking photographs, working on graphic design, woodworking, or building something new in his workshop.

Dr. Jack Slaymaker, DDS, DMD
Dr. Jack Slaymaker is a board-certified orthodontist who believes the best orthodontic care brings together science, artistry, and thoughtful planning. Known for his calm, welcoming personality and attention to detail, he approaches every smile individually, taking the time to understand each patient's needs, goals, and lifestyle before developing a treatment plan.
For Dr. Slaymaker, orthodontics is about much more than moving teeth. Treatment takes place over months or years, giving him the opportunity to build genuine relationships with his patients and their families along the way. He enjoys getting to know the people behind the smiles, hearing about their milestones, interests, and goals, and finds it especially rewarding to see the confidence patients gain as their smiles transform.
Originally trained in the United Kingdom, Dr. Slaymaker earned his dental degree from Peninsula Dental School before pursuing advanced postgraduate education in both restorative dentistry and orthodontics. His background in restorative dentistry gives him a unique perspective when planning orthodontic treatment, allowing him to consider not only tooth alignment, but also aesthetics, function, long-term oral health, and how orthodontic treatment may fit into a patient's overall dental care.
Dr. Slaymaker continued his specialty training in the United States at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester, where he completed his orthodontic residency and master's-level education. His clinical interests include digital orthodontics and smile design, fixed braces and clear aligner treatment, and precise, minimally invasive treatment planning. Whether a patient is looking for a subtle improvement or comprehensive orthodontic treatment, his goal is to create a smile that looks natural, functions well, and is designed to last.
Precision is something that carries into Dr. Slaymaker's life outside the office, too. One of his most unique hobbies is hand-crafting mechanical watches. Designing components and assembling intricate movements requires patience, careful planning, and an appreciation for incredibly small details, qualities that also happen to serve him well in orthodontics.
When he's not creating smiles or working on a watch, Dr. Slaymaker enjoys an active lifestyle, including hiking and cross-country skiing. He is also a former two-time British Tae Kwon-Do champion. Most importantly, he loves spending time with his family, especially his daughter, and considers family the foundation that keeps him grounded.
